2016 Canadian Rockies Tour (12th - 21st September 2016) Posted on December 17th, 2015

I'm happy to announce I will be partnering once again with OOAK (One Of A Kind Photography Adventures) for another photographic adventure of the Canadian Rockies!

Mount Assiniboine, Mount Rundle, Peyto Lake, Mount Assiniboine

If you compare this tour to other tours in the Rockies - the first thing you will notice is that we will be doing some camping as well as staying at a shared accommodations (clubhouse).  We felt that by being more mobile and reducting the cost from expensive hotels - we could cover a larger area for less out of your pocket.

So Imagine being chauffeured around to photograph some of Canada’s most scenic locations. Rugged snowcapped peaks towering above glacial fed rivers and lakes, all winding through lush green meadows… Welcome to Alberta and British Columbia, Canada!  The main areas we will be visiting on this truly one of a kind 10 day tour in Banff National Park, The Icefields Parkway, Jasper National Park and Assiniboine Provincial Park with their many attractions along the way.

Mount Assiniboine, Castle Mountain

We will be visiting all the places you’d come to expect from this magnificent scenery such as Mt. Rundle over the Vermilion Lakes, Lake Louise, Moraine Lake, Two Jack Lake in Banff.  Along Icefields Parkway up to Jasper we will stop at Herbert Lake, Peyto Lake, Bow Lake Athabasca Glacier and Falls plus much more! In Jasper National Park we will visit Patricia Lake, Medicine Lake, Maligne Lake and a private boat tour to Spirit Island. Last and not least, we will visit the “Matterhorn of North America” the iconic Mount Assiniboine in Assiniboine Provincial Park by helicopter!

All you’d come to expect from an OOAK adventure… Imagine hiking in and capturing sunset overlooking the mighty Mt. Assiniboine during the peak of the yellow of the larches, taking in the rich colours of the glacial fed Lake Louise and Moraine Lake, capturing the milky way bright overhead in the clear, dark Canadian night sky, watching the reflections fade into night over Patricia Lake in Jasper… The photographic potential of this region is limited only to your imagination.
